PiStation 2 - Converting dead Sony PS2 with Raspberry Pi
For those wondering - this is my 2nd PiStation and uses a PS2 to house a Raspberry Pi 2, hence PiStation 2 By request - loading screen is here: http://ift.tt/2hZp0bl A large part of the project, was to reuse as much as possible of the original system - controller ports, USB ports, power jack, Ethernet port are all reused. The broken Sony Playstation 2 has now returned to playing Playstation games..plus arcade and other console games. The system uses a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, with Retropie and Emulation Station software. Supported controllers are 2x Sony, 1x N64 and 2x USB (including USB keyboard or mouse). Internet connectivity allows the updating of firmware or addition of more games, if and when more originals are bought - it's illegal to load up games that are not owned. A satisfying build, making use of a console that was simply sat around in a corner for years.
